The only thing that never changes is that things keep changing.

That proverb is what got MQTSocialScene from an idea to a plan to a website.
Another young entrepreneur said last April that the people of the MQT area didn't need to worry about national trends, social media, politics or anything else because "MQT is MQT and it will never change."
Change always happens, it just matters if it is a good change to love or a bad change to fix. Even things that work well sometimes have to be updated, like the oil in your car.
Here is a list of some of the good and the bad that will change in MQT over the next calendar year. --Managing Editor Brice Burge

UP Mosaic, an exhibit at the Beaumier Heritage Center, ends this weekend.

The exhibit examined the relationship between the culture of Upper Peninsula residents with the environmental factors of the area, like climate and mineral resources.

Mosaic is stocked with multiple artifacts from multiple donors covering anything from ice climbing to the logging industry.

There were some availability problems with the exhibit. After starting later than the original date, the exhibit also ran through NMU's Winter break between semesters. However, fans of the history museum located in the Cohodas Building on 1401 Presque Isle, came and interacted with the exhibit.

After UP Mosaic comes down, a traveling exhibit from the Canadian War Museum will come to Beaumier. The exhibit will focus on the War of 1812 from four different points of views: Americans, Canadians, Native Americans and the British. The opening reception will be on Thursday, January 23 at 6 p.m..
